Practitioners and Founders
Dr. Qin Yan and Dr. Pei Wang met while students at Shandong University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Jinan, China. They received their training of Traditional Chinese Medicine since 2005. They founded their Acupuncture & Herbal Medicine Clinic with the name of China Spring as they came from the Spring City (Jinan) of China. They are the parents of two incredible children, Luke and Louis, who view the clinic as a family business and share their parent’s passion for health, wellness, and organic living.

We were fully trained from China and licensed in Wisconsin. Before we started our own clinic here, we have worked in a famous traditional chinese medicine hospital for years.

Dr. Qin (Chin) Yan

Dr. Qin Yan was born in a family of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM). She excellently accomplished a seven year OMD program from Shandong University of TCM, Jinan, China.

Before coming to the United States, Dr. Yan practiced as an oncologist, acupuncturist, and Chinese herbal physician at Shandong Provincial Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine in Jinan, China, one of the most prestigious TCM hospitals in Shandong Province, Jinan, China, seeing an average of 15 regular patients and 10 cancer patients daily.
She holds both Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Traditional Chinese Medicine and has over 20 years of clinical experience in acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine.
Dr. Yan integrates acupuncture, Chinese herbal medicine, cupping and guasha therapy, lifestyle guidance, and dietary recommendations to support the body’s natural healing ability and restore balance.

Besides the regular pain and sleep management, with a strategy that focuses on whole-body treatment (Wisdom of TCM), Dr. Qin Yan has built a successful private practice to help her cancer patients maintain a proper immune function in a natural way, and offer her clients a high quality of life while coexisting with a stabilized and chronic manageable disease when malignancy cannot be eradicated.

Dr. Yan currently also serves as a Program Advisory Board member at the American Academy of Health and Wellness (AAHW), provides professional advice and assistance to the teachers and administrators of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine programs.

Dr. Pei Wang
Ph.D., Doctor of Philosophy in Pharmaceutical Sciences

Dr. Pei Wang is a scientist specializing in functional foods, bioactive compounds, and nutritional biochemistry. His research focuses on identifying health-promoting compounds in foods and medicinal plants and understanding how these natural compounds influence metabolism, gut microbiota, and chronic disease prevention.
Dr. Wang previously served as a Research Scientist at the Laboratory for Functional Foods and Human Health at the North Carolina Research Campus, where his work explored bioactive compounds in foods such as ginger, tea, rosemary, berries, herbs, and whole grains, with a particular focus on metabolic health, carbonyl stress, and precision nutrition. He has authored or co-authored more than 50 peer-reviewed scientific publications.
Currently based in Madison, Wisconsin, Dr. Wang works as a Senior Research Scientist in the pharmaceutical industry, specializing in advanced analytical methods for bioactive compounds and health-related molecules.
Dr. Wang co-founded SpringVia with Dr. QinYan, combining his background in nutritional science, herbology, and functional foods with Dr. QinYan’s clinical expertise in acupuncture and traditional herbal medicine. Through this collaboration—along with partnerships with other research laboratories and clinics—SpringVia integrates clinical experience, traditional herbal knowledge, and modern scientific research to identify effective botanical ingredients and develop evidence-based functional nutrition products and supplements.
Together, they aim to bridge clinical practice and modern biomedical science, transforming traditional health wisdom and scientific discovery into innovative, science-supported solutions for metabolic health, longevity, and preventive wellness in a more natural and holistic way.

Dr. Yan and Dr. Wang devote a lot of their time in routine knowledge and experience exchanging with their overseas medical partners, who currently practicing in the most famous TCM clinics in other counties/regions.
